Cotton napkins
Every napkin in the shop is 100% cotton twill, spun from long fibres for a cloth that is both strong and smooth. It softens with each wash without losing its structure.
Printed direct to fabric, so the colour is in the weave and the reverse stays natural cotton.
Frequently asked questions
Why cotton twill rather than plain weave?
Twill is a diagonal weave, which makes the cloth stronger for its weight and gives it a slight drape that a flat plain weave does not have. It also takes a direct-to-fabric print more cleanly, so the color sits in the cloth rather than on it.
Does cotton stain more easily than polyester?
Cotton absorbs, so a spill needs rinsing sooner. In exchange it releases stains properly in a cold wash and does not hold onto oil the way polyester does. For napkins that get used weekly, cotton is the better long-term choice.
Will they shrink?
Minimally, and only on the first wash. Wash cold on a gentle cycle and line dry — heat is what shrinks cotton, not water.
