Table runners in two lengths

A runner does the work a full tablecloth does without hiding the table. Ours come in 16" × 72" for tables seating four to six, and 16" × 90" for longer tables or for a generous drop at each end.

Cotton twill or polyester

Both materials carry the same designs but read differently. Cotton twill is printed direct-to-fabric: the colors sit slightly softer, closer to the original watercolor, and a fine white thread runs along the outer hem. Polyester is dye-sublimated, which gives sharper edges and stronger color, and it dries faster after a spill.

Neither needs ironing if you take it off the line while still slightly damp. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent, no bleach, line dry.

Frequently asked questions

What length table runner do I need?

Measure your table and add 12 to 24 inches so the runner drops six to twelve inches at each end. The 72" suits tables seating four to six; the 90" suits longer tables or a more generous drop. If you use placemats, a runner that stops flush with the table edge looks tidier than one that hangs.

What size table runner works on a round table?

On a round table a runner reads as a band across the middle rather than a full length. Match the runner to the diameter plus a short drop — a 72" runner sits well on a 48" to 60" round table. For a smaller round table, two crossed runners or a set of placemats usually works better.
