No. There is nothing carved or spooky in it — the pumpkins are painted as produce, alongside olives and figs. It reads as harvest and holds through Thanksgiving.

The cream ground keeps it light, so it works with plain white china, terracotta earthenware and olive green glassware. Warm brass or wooden serving pieces finish it.
